Kenny Dalglish has signed a new three-year contract as Liverpool manager.
The Scot has been rewarded with the deal after initially taking over until the end of the current season when he replaced Roy Hodgosn in January.
"I'm obviously delighted to be given the opportunity," Dalglish told the Liverpool website.
"When we came back in January there were no promises as to what to expect, so for me it was an ideal opportunity to prove I had something to offer."
More to follow.

Theyve played some good stuff but at the moment they are playing with the house money so to speak, completely pressure free.
Come August they will be expected to win, and it will be a completely different ball game for them. Will be interesting to see how they do.

One good move he has made is appointing Steve Clarke as his assistant.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

It'll also be interesting to see how their style of play evolves; will they use the long ball more when Andy Carroll gets back in the side and is that player possibly showing some initial signs of being a bit injury prone ??

They will mix it up.
Carroll's problems are largely self inflicted. If he knuckles down & plays football he'll have a great career. If he behaves like a typical ex Newcastle player, he'll be fat & shit in two years.

Fair play to Kenny Mumbles ... he's done well, I reckon new manager syndrone will fade soon. They will still be top 6 next season mind.

They'll be up there with us next year but we still have the edge on them. The most interesting point regarding next season is who they can afford to bring in. If they do some good business again like at Christmas they could well battle back into the top four. IMO if the rags don't spend this summer they could be the ones getting squeezed out next season!

Give over mate, same thing has been said for the last 3 years, yet year after year finals and titles keep coming.

Exactly ... it's about time City fans concentrated on City rather than
them
