vs Spuds - Betting Odds

I'm not a big gambler, but is there anybody else that believes we should be favourites to win this match??

Spuds - 5/4
Draw - 9/4
Citeh - 15/8

I know we have made a few additions, but we have a pretty stable squad, which is (on paper at least) a better one that Spuds.
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

Pretty good odds. Nearly 2/1. I'd go for that except for,

We are away,
We cannot be called stable (not at this moment),
They will fight like fuck for our scalp.

and most of all

them cunts are our bogey team.

Away home against a team that finished above us last season and beat us at home in our second last competative match, it's a decent price at best. There's some 2/1 and 11/5 available with other firms.

We certainly shouldn't be favorites.

Don’t want to be to pessimistic but I expect us to lose that game.

We will still need time to gel as a side
We always lose there
I imagine due to them being involved in a CL qualifier to be a tad sharper than us.

Somehow it seems just about the worst game we could've had. We were doing better at Chelsea, Arsenal etc recently than Spuds. However Mancini does seem to be revolutionising our away form.

But anything other than defeat is a good result. 'Money-bags Man City ..........................etc'
