Another 2am KO for this one. A game that on form we should progress from. Just hope we come through with no injuries. No idea of team selection

2-0 Haaland Foden

Winners scheduled to meet milan or Fluminese in quarters and winners of Chelsea v Palmeras in semis. Opening up nicely. May look at going over if we get through tonight

11pm kickoff on school holidays here, so my little one can watch with me live.

I’ll think Pep will go fairly strong, but I hope he doesn’t start Rodri. I’d like to see Doku and Savinho get another game after playing well last time and I hope he plays at least 2-3 experienced defenders just to see it through.

On a side note I’m starting to worry about Nico G. Losing another soft ball for a chance here isn’t helping Pep get him in. Maybe I’m being premature but let’s see.
Tracking back is overrated.

I see Pep is at it again with his self fulfilling prophecies. “The World Cup could destroy our premier league season “ well there you have it, getting excuses in first again.

It's no different from the US tours we've done in the past - just a bit longer. We usually travel all over the shop in the summer doing friendlies.

It will be 3.00 am here.so my thinking is, get a few down my neck and fall asleep. Forced to wake up to point percy at the porcelain about 3.00 am. Get the kettle on, start work at 5.00 after the game. Crash out at about 13.00 in the 35 celcius here . Take the dog for a walk, should be quiet then, except for Mad Englishmen taking their dogs for a walk

And the flip side is all our signings have had chance to properly gel with their new team mates and we start the season with a flyer
