Pep has asked England U21s to leave out McAtee and Lewis so they can play the CWC.

He's a cheeky cunt, especially after not even having them on the bench for the final. Id tell him to fuck off

I keep thinking about what he said, that he doesn't want more players. Is he talking about starting the season without two new right/left backs?

I am terrified about what is going through that man's mind.

I hate City players playing for their country? Interesting....

Never said that, however I DO hate players that are injured ala Stones, KDB, Ake going playing for their country when they're injured or just come back from injury.

But what does my opinion on Internationals matter when it's McAtee and Lewis that should be able to do what they want in the summer

No they cannot do what they want. Fifa has told all teams they must bring their strongest squad and both are part of that squad. They will learm more at the club world cup than playing for the u21 team.

With a potential 6 (or is it 7) CWC games, with 2 against shite that our U18 should beat I think they'll get games in the summer. And I imagine they'll be looking to try to force their way into more regular starting positions for us next year so would prefer to be coming with us too.

If you look at the details of what he actually said it's about having to get players off the books before bringing in more. We all know he likes a certain squad size so nothing controversial or strange in that.

The funny thing is, we went through a period where we couldn't or wouldn't name enough subs due to injuries. Which he also complained about. But when everyone is fit it's the opposite.

That said I wouldn't be surprised to see 10 of these unloaded, if we can. Probably do Foden good to get a transfer far away from his dysfunctional family.

Grealish obviously, McAtee (never good enough), Bernardo Silva (though still tackles back more than anyone), Walker, Savio (crap), Stones (always injured)etc etc

I know for a fact what McAtee wants.. and there isn't any forcing your way into Pep's plans

You're right....I can see FIFA fining City for not bringing McAtee and Lewis....

Hahahaha

That's the issue of the small squad when you get a load of injuries at once. Bit us on the arse this season, but we've done ok in most of the others. Think it was sheer accumulation of games and aging players that did us this season. It all caught up. Hopefully with younger fresher players and a bit of luck on the injury side it won't happen again next year.

Lots of teams have had serious injury issues. I think the build up and compactness of seasons after COVID has a bit part to play with it especially with all the tournaments in the off season and daft timing of the last world cup included
