It had nothing to do with him fielding the best 11 players available on the Day, or any of those that played every game enroute to the FA Cup final.

He simply wanted to give others a chance.

Seriously what the actual fuck ?.He is picking sides based not on any merit, or credit earned it really is fucking unbelievable.

Asked why Lewis didn't start or deservedly make the Bench. He started rambling on about thinking Lewis would struggle against Palace physicality in the pockets.

Rico Lewis started both games this Season against Palace previously the 2-2 at Selhurst Park, and the 5-2 at the Etihad.So what the fuck is he on about ?

I am not Lewis biggest fan mainly because the Bald genius is forever playing the poor Lad out of position. I will say this though, the treatment of him Mcatee,and Grealish was fucking shocking.

They all deserved a place on the Bench, and they all deserved playing time. They all contributed to us reaching the Final.

Why would you treat 3 players who have all played their part in getting us to the Final so badly, it is unforgiveable.

And the only response you can give to such appalling treatment is " I wanted to give others a chance " in a Cup Final no less ffs.

He might pick another player because its his Birthday, he might rotate a few players because he has to rotate regardless except for those that Rim him in his office who get to play every game. It is frightening.

He is paid handsomely £25,000 000 a season to deliver results.

His starting line up should be be best 11 players available meaning no KDB, no Haaland, and revert back to what was working before his Brain storm. That should be the only criteria ever used.

Struggling to see who he gave a chance to ? The starting 11 players we had all seen before. Only Echeverri was new and giving him just 15 mins since February is a fucking disgrace when he has so much potential. If Pep was not mind fucked he might have started him - i would still question his lack of game time but welcomed his decision.
Kovacic he said would have played if fit but he doesn't replace him, simply runs with KDB and Silva? No start for Gonzales, Reiss, Khusanov ( he would have loved battling Mateta)

I don't mind McATTEE or Lewis not starting but his reasoning just gets worse. Pep and his team were arguing with the Palace bench all game, in the tunnel and after the match. After the Southampton game, Pep slaps down his own players and says teams can play how they want. Complete reversal of thought in the Cup Final when Pep is running up and down with a stopwatch in his hand. His only beef was the VAR decision for the handball. If i was Pep i'd say well done to Palace, congratulate them on winning the Cup but lambast the officials for ruling out an obvious red card incident. That ruling had nothing to do with Palace, question why an ex Palace youth player was allowed to be the assistant VAR official ? He could do that now as most of the football fraternity have said the same
