I hate this game. I never feel confident on derby day. The rags on the other hand seem to think that they will get the points tomorrow and then go on to win the league!! Can't figure this one myself and to be honest I don’t really care about their deluded fantasy land. I don’t just want the three points tomorrow; I want to see them destroyed.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Simon Bennett
Fourth official: David Coote
VAR: Paul Tierney
Assistant VAR: Adrian Holmes

Team Selection

De Gea
Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Malacia
McTominay
Eriksen - Fernandes
Antony - Rashford - Sancho

And the rest…

All well and good beating Liverpool and Arsenal but this will be Erik's first real test.

I heard this before and I don't really get it. This is arguably the best team in the world. We can fail to beat them and still be very good. Arsenal is closer to our level (right now) and are more likely to be our competition by the end of the season.

I hope we keep our heads up. It'll be a tough match and were not ready for it. Stay in the match and keep it competitive and i'll be happy.

Erling Haaland

They are going to dominate us, our only hope is on the break. If they score early it will be a long afternoon.

Biggest test of the season, no other team comes close. Haaland isn't the concern though, it's the supply to him. Winning the midfield is the biggest thing in this game.

We’ve gone there and beaten better City teams than this.

We're gonna beat them.

Martinez will do a number on Haaland. I hope the front three will be Sancho-Rashford-Antony. There will be few chances for us in this game, and we'll have to make them count.

Goal 700 for Ronaldo incoming.

Feels good going to a game when I feel we're quite defensively solid.

Standard rope a dope game. Sit back, defend well, hit them on the break and score from our minimal shots on goal. We are nowhere near being able to play them off the park, so I'm happy to play to our strengths.

Got to play them twice a season and its only 6 points...won't matter much at the end of the league...so all I ask is United don't shit the bed from the first whistle. Just play the match, compete and enjoy the challenge.

Just don’t lose by 4/5 and roll over like last year and I’ll be happy.

We need pace up front if we want to win which means ronaldo gets benched.

Need to score at least 2-3 goals. Can't see us keeping Haaland quiet he's a machine.

Almost a month after the Arsenal game...

Think this is coming too early for an improving team. Can see city 2-0 but a far better showing from us than some in recent years barring Solskjaers high points when he set us up brilliantly.

For the first time in ages, I’m looking forward to this fixture. I really think Utd have a chance! City are always slow after the international break and with Utd having less players on international duty, this could be a big advantage.

If we beat them, I would put money on us taking the title.

A smash and grab opportunity, but Citeh must be feared and respected.

Haaland will score a hatrick. 1-4 City, it is what it is.

We are going to win this.

I think I've already said it in this thread but I really hope Martial is fit enough to start. He's the only player I'm confident of getting us up the pitch and the only one I'm confident can handle their CBs physically.

We'll twat them 3 nil.

We are winning this one. Never felt this confident against playing City.

Does Casimero get his first start?

I’ll be surprised if Martial starts considering he’s not trained for over 2 weeks.

Could you imagine Maguire up against Haaland? Jesus.

Like watching a lion devouring a helpless walrus.

So weird the way this place has just collectively forgotten Martial is shit.

Getting excited about this game now. Will be a very tactical battle against 2 managers that know each other well. I think the small details could decide this game. I’m confident we can get a win though… could be a massive boost if we win here.

On paper City don't have many amazing players, and as you say their backline is slow. They are an amazing team but we have seen multiple times over the years that if you test them enough, they often struggle.

Dont know why people keep saying that ''the two weeks off will allow Ten Haag to get more coaching and fitness into the players.'' There are 16 United players who have gone away for international duties.

Any old win will do, especially with Arsenal winning and the dippers looking like they will get the three points.

On paper we are better than them in all eleven positions. Don’t think they have a player that gets into our side, maybe at a push Malacia at LB given how poor defensively Cancelo is. But derby day has a history of throwing unpredictability into the equation

As we all know anything can happy on Derby day but by christ there are some right delusional cunts comments right there.

Suggesting on paper we are nothing, so how come likes if Rodri, Gundo, Bernardo, Cancelo, Phil et al constantly voted motm by pundits. What our players have won over the x amount of years without Elring!

If they do take the points tomorrow it won't be a thrashing. Us on the other hand if we are on it, it could be a thumping.

One thing is for sure and that is , we are unanomous in our hate of their arrogance, proper bunch of window licking cunts they are.

Surprisingly, above there are a lot of reasonable comments from the Utd supporters and unsurprisingly some delusional ones.

Martinez went in heavy on Salah and Jesus. I expect he will try the same with Haaland. It is unlikely to work, Haaland is different gravy. Media have over hyped Utd. City to win by three.

Thanks CM

How times have changed in such a short time.

It's not that long ago that we lived more in hope that belief on derby days...Finally it seems to have got thro to at least some of the rags that they are still some way behind us.
Granted, they have improved, but it's easy to become less shit than it is to become a top side.

I never take derbies for granted but we have a better team, with better players, and a better coach.

The poor cunt who said he's never felt more confident coming up against City must have only supported them for 5 years!
