View from the Away End

I had a quick look at the thread for our visitors tomorrow night, and they seem like a decent bunch. A lot of the talk is about ticket allocation ( the usual for this kind of game), but I have pulled out some of the other comments. I will be a little bit shocked if Pep gets this one wrong, but you just never know these days. Anyway, here are the thoughts of The Chairboys (had to look that up!)

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: ROBERT JONES
Assistants: Darren Cann and Adrian Holmes
Fourth Official: Martin Atkinson

And the rest…

Get in!!!

"Twelve nil, we're gonna lose twelve nil..."

Who better to end their 4 year run of winning it.

Could get annihilated but at the same time a win would be amazing and it's gotta be a laugh and a night out.

Quite confident about this one. I remember the last time we were there, at Maine Road of course, we gave them a footballing lesson with Sean Devine scoring.

We were perched on a temporary stand - we also beat them at home that year as I recall, but it was some time ago now!!

I just really hope we put out our strongest available team. The opportunity for the players to learn and test themselves against one of the strongest squads in the country in their own back yard rarely comes about. I’m sure it won’t be Man City’s strongest team of course, but that’s nothing we can control.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say we'll take 3,000 up there despite it being Manchester midweek. Drooling at this draw. Fantastic for us.

Got to embrace it, where would we be if we hadn't given it our best shot against bigger teams over the last 10 years or so.

We always beat Man City.

No quandary at all is there? Put out our strongest team, have a right go at it, enjoy every minute. What else is football for.

City will need to charge a reasonable fee to get their less than stacked support base in from Stockport. But we obviously don't want it too "reasonable" so we can make a decent pot!

Their defence looks a bit dodgy.

With a massive game at the franchise next Saturday, maybe Gareth will use the wider squad players at Man City and give McCarthy, Gape, Wheeler, Hanlon, KaiKai and Mehmeti a run out on Tuesday.

As for the line-up midweek, we have to give it a go with as strong a line-up as possible. City have Chelsea at the weekend, so even with a draw yesterday, surely don't go too strong.

Hopefully Pep totally underestimates us, plays one too many of the younguns, and the notoriously quiet/empty Etihad works in our favour.

I think Man City play a strong second XI. The reason they keep winning this thing is that they are so deep they can barely play a weak side. Also, Pep may see it as an opportunity for minutes.

For a club like us its a free hit against a Premier League team...its early enough so as not to destroy our season, fans seem to be willing to go and see it and its a cup for goodness sake! If they all field the youth team and we get to the final I'm all for it!

City set to give youngsters a chance according to sky sports, due to increasing injury list.

Football is very odd sometimes isn't it? I'm sure whatever team City put out they'll be more than capable of beating us, but that's not going to stop me thinking we're going to win.

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.
